Chelsea – Thursday June 21st was an exciting day for the fifty-two residents of St. Louis Center in Chelsea, as Michigan Basketball Coach John Beilein and four of his current and former basketball players visited the center to put on a basketball “clinic” for the residents and staff. The players who accompanied Coach Beilein were Tim Hardaway, Jr., Jordan Morgan, Eso Akunne, and former team captain Zack Novak.

Coach Beilein and his players entered the gym to cheers from the residents, and after introducing his players, proceeded to execute several practice drills for the residents; even including them in some of their exercises. The drills included two-handed dribbles, circular ball rotations, shoot-arounds, reverse lay-ups, and a few light dunks.

Afterward, Coach Beilein and his players took the time to autograph posters and personal items for the residents, took several more photographs, and closed with a stirring rendition of “The Victors.”
