Cuddalore – Vocation Coordinators of all the Religious Congregations and various dioceses of Tamil Nadu attended the General Body Meeting of TNLBC Commission for Vocations at Trichy February 23rd- 24th. Most. Rev. Jude Paulraj, the Chairman of the gathering, led more than 80 religious men and women who were present.
Fr. Camilus, Sdb, keynote speaker, began by presenting vocations and vocation promotion as gifts. He then outlined the attitudes that every vocation promoter must carry to the youth of today’s world: personal touch, pastoral approach and family atmosphere. The youth are admiring and creative but also challenging; so he presented the ‘Butterfly Approach’ to handle these vibrant young men and women for the pastoral Ministry. Faith is a predominant need for the young boys and girls of our time.
Dear Friends, May I invite all our Local Communities to take part enthusiastically in the works of vocation promotion in your zone. Let us carry out the Spirit of Vocation through our personal life, community life and mission. A few suggested activities which may help you to sow the seeds of vocation: daily Prayer for Vocations, prayer during weekly community Adoration, priests should attend events in nearby parishes to meet young men with an interest in serving the Lord and Founder. Plan Vocation Camps and promote them nearby amongst parishes and parish priests. Let u
