Sivagangai – “Our very title, Servants of Charity, reminds us that Charity is the reason why the Lord gathers us together, consecrates us for Himself, and sends us to the poor”-Con. No. 12. Having charity as the heart and reason of their existence, the Guanellians are always called to witness through acts of charity wherever they are. As a simple response to such a call, the community of Yesuvanam and a group led by Mrs. Tiziana of Italy, joined together to work for the betterment and well being of the poor widows of the local region. Last week they had the privilege of donating three Tailoring Machines to three poor widows so that they will be able to earn some money to provide for their economic needs. Rev. Fr. Soosai Rathinam, the Provincial Superior was the special guest who handed over the machines to the poor widows. We are indeed happy and grateful to God for His providence that He renders to the poor; using others as an instrument to accomplish His plan.
