Manila – During the journey through Lent and to prepare for the great feast of the Paschal Triduum, the Servants of Charity organized an annual Lenten Recollection on March 15th for the seminary community: staff and volunteers of Guanella Center and Guanellian Lay Cooperators. There were about sixty participants in the event. The event began with a talk by lay cooperators, Lawyer Paul Repotente and his wife Nena. They stressed the importance of learning the faith better and discovering its beauty by asking the basic question “Why am I a Catholic?” They helped to rekindle in our hearts a love for the Scriptures, Evangelization, Holy Mass, personal prayer, and many other truths about Catholicism. After lunch, the Sacrament of Reconciliation was available for the participants during exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. The day ended with Mass celebrated by Fr. Charlton, the Coordinator of the Guanellian Lay Cooperators. For their April meeting, they agreed to spend time with the Guanella Home residents.
