Manila – To kick-off the Silver Jubilee of the Servants of Charity in the Philippines, the Guanellian Youth Movement and seminarians staged a concert entitled Louis: Isang Buhay, Isang Awit (Louis: One Life, One Song) at Guanella Center June 5th. It was a two-hour concert featuring contemporary Filipino religious songs and original Guanellian songs and narrative glimpses into the life of Father Guanella. Twenty five singers, musicians and technical supporters participated. The concert was an evening of song and an occasion to reflect on the beauty of the life of Father Guanella and the Servants of Charity. Many were inspired on how the Providence of God was truly alive in his life and the life and mission of the Guanellians today. During the finale, our special children brought in a flag of the Philippines, a picture of Father Guanella, a Crucifix and lit candles to signifying the hope that Guanellians have in continuing the Lord’s mission in the Philippines.
