Saigon – It is good to spend time in silence and solitude to listen to the voice from above. Our students, accompanied by Fr. Jerin, went on a 3-day retreat at a Benedictine monastery 45 mins from our community by bike. Rev. Fr. Francis Trung, the aspirant director, guided our retreat September 26-28th. He divided the days into three different topics. The first day, he talked about ‘Faith in Vocation,’ the second day ‘Love and Charity in Vocation’ and the third day, ‘The Religious Life’. Since our students are in their initial stage of formation, this retreat enriched them in many ways. We participated in the spiritual activities of the Benedictine community. It was really awesome and angelic. The silent atmosphere and spiritual guidance led to deeper thinking. After the retreat, normal life began with more spirit and joy.
