Cuddalore – St. Joseph’s Minor Seminary, which is the cradle for young candidates to Guanellian religious life, hosted many ‘holy families of Nazareth’ by inviting the parents of all seminarians to ‘Parents Meet’ 2015-16 on September 27th. Their presence beside their sons mirrored the reflection of Mother Mary and St. Joseph helping Jesus in his task of fulfilling the salvific plan of God. The day was filled with events and programs:
- Spiritual Service and Holy Mass by Fr. Visuwasam SdC.
- Conference by Rev. Fr. Xavier, a well-known priest of the Pondy-Cuddalore Archdiocese.
- Talk by Rector, Fr. Francis Assisi SdC.
- Parents’ Personal Meeting with Formators.
From the beginning, these events brought out a holistic understanding to parents about their exclusive role and participation in the formation of their children for the Holy Priesthood. And for the seminarians, the day with its richness has brought out a spiritual enlightenment to be more faithful in four important dimensions of seminary life such as [SICA] Spiritual, Intellectual, Community life and Apostolate. It helped the candidates recognize their strengths and weaknesses. It paved the way to edify their lives and to enrich their journey towards the threshold of priesthood. The day ended with satisfaction and happiness for the parents and seminarians alike. Praise and glory be to God!
