Guanellian Youth Retreat

Manila – The Guanellian Youth Ministry, Kabataang Guanelliano, held their bi-annual Summer Retreat May 31– June 3 at Minda’s Sanctuary, Pililia, Rizal. With the theme “Renewal of Service: Strengthening One’s Faith,” the main goal was to strengthen their faith through deepening their relationship with God and commit themselves to serving the Lord through active membership of the ministry. There were four talks daily with regards to developing their faith and service through self, family, community, and to God. There was also a personal time to encounter God in silence and prayer. The facilitators of the retreat were the former core leaders of the group, Sem. Harry Indonilla and Sr. Tess, DSMP. On the last night of the retreat, they watched “A Love Letter from God” and afterwards wrote personal letters to God which were offered during Mass June 5th. During the retreat, they held elections of new core leaders for 2016–2017. This event was surely a remarkable and a successful one for they learned that the ministry where they belonged is bounded by God’s unending mercy and love. GYM will continue to make use of their time, talents, and treasure to know, love, and serve the Lord.
