Chennai – It is mid-November again and time for a very special occasion, November 14th is Children’s Day. The day is celebrated across the nation to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. On this day, Don Guanella Special School celebrated with delight by giving a meticulous program by staff. The event began with a prayer song and continued with wonderful dances by staff. All of the performances gave life to the children, who admired the teachers dance and their joy was doubled. Children had a very good time and returned home with great happiness.
Chennai – On November 19th the Don Guanella Special School organized “Children’s Day.” Along with the parents meeting and fashion show competitions, there was a cultural program presented by the good children, parents and teachers. Later that day, the new Computer & Library Room was blessed and some sports competitions for the good children were played in the evening. All the good children participated very actively in the events.
Cuddalore – Children’s day was joyfully celebrated by nearly 105 children at Don Guanella Boys Home on November 14th, the birthday of the former Prime Minister Mrs. Javaharlal Neru. The day began with holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Bernandes. Following Mass, Bro. Regent conducted football, throw ball, and running matches and party games at the football field for the boys. The students happily participated in the games and different classes by our father on the topic of children’s day. They were given gifts for their efforts in the different competitions like speech, drawing, painting, and singing. The day ended with solemn praying of the Rosary led by the 10th Standard students.
