India and Alumni

Cuddalore – On the great celebration of Republic Day in India, Don Guanella Boys Home also celebrated Alumni day, with 29 former students participating. This is a day in which the history of DGBH was reviewed and refreshed. It is a meeting of the past and present for the future. The program was organized by Fr. Peter Sebastian, the superior and director, with the community and it was presided over by Mr. Durairaj, the HOD. The testimony by the Alumni was mind-blowing and inspiring. The key points were: renewal of the relationship among the alumni; being grateful to the institute and memories imprinted on the minds of the Alumni. The younger brothers (the present students) honored their elder bothers with their performances. The Alumni inspired the younger ones with their eye-opening speeches. Finally the Alumni proved that they are not only made of words but also of actions by their generous hands.

Sweet Dreams

Cuddalore – Every night we snuggle into our bed to dream away the day and prepare for the next. For most people bed is a safe place, their warm and cuddle place that they look forward to getting into each night. Some love their bed so much that it’s hard to get out of bed in the morning. We sincerely thank Aschi for generously providing 75 beds for the orphans. We hope the beds will make our boys rest more easily. Don Guanella Boys Home students are very happy to have a cot. It will certainly help them sleep better.

Medical Camp

Cuddalore – Frequent medical camps are required by government norms for Don Guanella Boys Home. The primary health center from Pudupalayam came to DGBH and conducted medical camp on August 27th. All the students participated in the camp.
