Medical Camp at DGBH

Cuddalore – The members of Lions Club International and Shree Venkadeshvara Medical from Cuddalore conducted a one-day medical camp at Don Guanella Boys Home on February 24th. Fr. Peter Sebastian, director of DGBH, welcomed and honored them with gifts. Mrs. Latha VijayaKumar, president of the Lions Club, Mr. Kalyan Kumar, former president of the Lions Club, the proprietor of Bell Book House Cuddalore and Mr. Nagappan, treasurer of the Lions Club, were present. Treatment was provided by Dr. R. Thirumalai Shankar, M.B.B.S., and P.G Dip.(Diab.), the chief medical officer of Government Hospital, Puducherry.  The medications were provided by Mr. Parthasarathi and Shree Venkadeshvara Medicals, the overhead was around Rs. 5000/-. The boys are now free from basic problems such as skin allergy, colds, stomachache and scabies. Through these people, the providential care of the Father was felt in our lives.

Medical Mission 2012

Quezon City – God moves in His own way, using different people to show His Love, but it is He who does. He sent Medical Mission 2012, sponsored by Dr. Carlos Lanting College, to the Guanella Center on July 21st. The medical team, including four doctors, nursing students and NSTP students served fifty Persons with Disabilities. They also fed about 30 special children from the community and the Tandang Sora area. Special thanks to Dr. Carlos Lanting College for their continuous support of the Servants of Charity. May the good Lord reward them a hundred fold for the love and support they give to needy children.
