Lana SenartCelia Rossi 1Jackie McGinn-new  Grass Lake – On August 9th, the Pious Union of St. Joseph Women’s Guild hosted a four course High Tea to honor three of its members, Lana Senart, Celia Rossi, and Jacquie McGinn. They were all honored for their love, dedication, and deep devotion to the Pious Union. The tea was held in the gardens of one of the members, Susan Nabozny. The 25 ladies were all provided with an authentic Victorian hat to wear. During the tea, each honoree was toasted individually. They prayed, sang and gave thanks to Jesus for these three ladies’ devotion to the Pious Union and for all the members of the guild. Father Satheesh was present to give his blessing. The day ended with a tour of the gardens and a prayer of thanksgiving. Each guest went home with a homemade gift from the garden.

A Special Feast

Visiting the Death of St. Joseph Chapel

Grass Lake – March 19th is always a very special day at the Pious Union/Shrine of St. Joseph. Many visitors make the journey to the shrine erected in his honor. This year ten bus loads of pilgrims braved a cold and wet day to celebrate Mass, browse the gift shop, and receive individual blessings from Fr. Paul. They brought their personal intentions, praying for themselves and their families still struggling in Iraq.  Their devotion seems to have increased during these difficult times.
This year evening prayers were offered in the chapel followed by a fellowship meal for all of those present. The St. Jospeh’s Women’s Guild was on hand to offer information, assistance and refreshments for the pilgrims.2014 St. Joseph's Table at PUSJ Visiting the Death of St. Joseph Chapel

Fr. Joseph and Fr. Satheesh led a short prayer service and brought her communion. Sr. Rosemary Bell, DSMP and several members from the St. Joseph Women’s Guild were also present to pray through the intercession of Blessed Clare Bosatta. A first class relic was left in her home to assist in prayer. Please continue to pray that through the Intercession of Blessed Clare Bosatta, God’s will be done.
